Citigroup is reporting earnings that beat Wall Street's expectations for the second quarter. Bostjan Jazbec, the euro zone's incoming Slovenian central bank governor, said that Slovenia does not currently need international financial help to sort out its crumbling banking system although aid cannot be ruled in future. Retail sales increased 0.4 percent last month as demand for automobiles soared, but sales of building materials fell, the government reported. less
