In an attempt to gear up its organisation after a series of electoral setbacks, the West Bengal unit of the CPI-M Wednesday called for launching movements and activating all ranks of the party ahead of the Lok Sabha polls. Stating that success in West Bengal was crucial to the party playing a bigger role in the national stage, Communist Party of India-Marxist state secretary Biman Bose said: "We have to fight the elections by activating the party rank and file and increasing mass contact." less
