Lenticular Clouds
'PIC BY DENIS BUDKOV / CATERS NEWS - (PICTURED Incredible lenticular clouds) Hovering high above the mountains, these unusual objects may look like something from another world - but they are in fact clouds. With their smooth, saucer like shape and bizarre orange glow these cloud formations could easily be mistaken for U.F.O.s but they are actually a rare natural phenomenon known as lenticular clouds. Baffled onlookers may feel more at ease knowing that the lens-shaped formations are simply moist air that has condensed above the mountain range and not visitors from outer space. Known scientifically as altocumulus lenticularis the curious clouds are formed when the temperature in the air drops and moisture droplets are pushed up a steep slope by high winds. **NOT FOR SALE / USE IN RUSSIA / POLAND**
