KANDAHAR, AFGHANISTAN -DECEMBER 7: Military and civilians exercise during a spinning class at the NATO gym on the Kandahar Air Field (KAF) December 7, 2010 in Kandahar, Afghanistan. There are 16,000 NATO troops in Kandahar province and approximately 20-30,000 military and civilian personnel living, working and traveling through Kandahar Air Field (KAF). As time went on the base continued to grow rapidly and now has the feel of a small city with 5 dining facilities, a variety of shops, restaurants and cafes. Kandahar Air Field (KAF) has been in operation since 2002 with troops camping out on the floor of a bombed out airport in late 2001 after the U.S lead bombing strike.
