One World Trade Center defines Lower Manhattan skyline

The most physical evidence of Lower Manhattan’s rebirth in the dozen years since the 9/11 attacks is One World Trade Center, often called the Freedom Tower, which rises 104 stories and 1,776 feet above a 16-acre site in the Financial District. It will be completed in early 2014. These photos, taken by Flickr photographers, show the skyline at different phases of construction.
