Lyse Protzenko, rear, clutches the American flag presented to her by a Connecticut Army National Guard honor guard, as Connecticut State Police troopers carry the casket containing the remains of her husband Paul Protzenko, 46, of Enfield Conn., Monday, July 18, 2011, in front of St. Adalbert Church in Enfield. Protzenko was killed July 9, 2011, while working in Afghanistan. Protzenko was a retired Connecticut state trooper and a U.S. Army veteran, he was working as a law enforcement trainer for a private contractor for the U.S. government when he was killed.
