ROME, ITALY - JULY 28: The statue of the 'Madonna della Fiumarola' (or Madonna del Carmine) docks on the banks of the Tiber after being carried in procession on a boat along the river, during the closing of the annual 'Festa de Noantri', in the Trastevere district on July 28, 2013 in Rome, Italy. Every year on the last Sunday of July, Romans reenact this historical procession along the river Tevere to Trastevere. The statue that is reported to have been found in 1535 at the mouth of the river, was donated to the Carmelite friars of the church of S. Grisogono, and since then acts as protector of the inhabitants of Trastevere quartier. (Photo by Giorgio Cosulich/Getty Images) less
