Manuela Schmid is ironing in her impromptu living, work and bed room in Neuhausen near the eastern Bavarian city of Deggendorf December 15, 2013. Manuela, her husband Herbert and their 14-year-old son had to flee from their house after the floods of the nearby river Danube devastated their home and some other 500 houses in Fischerdorf, a suburb of Deggendorf earlier in June 2013. The family found an interim acomodation in the flat of Manuela Schmid's sister who shares her tiny little about 45 square meters flat. The family is hoping to be able to return to their then fully renovated house by May 2014. REUTERS/Wolfgang Rattay (GERMANY - Tags: POLITICS DISASTER) less
