CRISFIELD, MD - AUGUST 22: A man stands on the city dock as a boat pulls away carrying U.S. Mail to be taken to the small town of Ewell located on Smith Island on August 22, 2011 in Crisfield, Maryland. The U.S. Post Office (USPS) has cited a projected shortfall for 2011 of $8.3 billion, and the use of the Internet for pay bills and sending emails, for placing the post office in Ewell on a list of 3200 post offices around the country that could be slated for closure. The USPS is a quasi-government run agency that receives no federal money and relies on postage to be self-funding. (Photo by Mark Wilson/Getty Images) less
