Michael Harris, who is leading a movement to remove a racial slur from 36 Gold-Rush era graves, discusses a proposal from a state agency to do that, while talking with reporters in Sacramento, Calif., Thursday, May 12, 2011. Harris said he is not opposing the plan from the California Prison Industry Authority , which has offered to replace the markers, but says he wants to see something in writing.
