Visibility drops to less than 200 yards on north Kansas Avenue early Monday, Feb. 25, 2013 in Liberal, Kan., because of blowing snow, powered by winds around 30 mph. Drifting is occurring and expected to worsen as the  forecast calls for 6-10 inches of snow and winds gusting to 50 mph later Monday afternoon. All roads into the Oklahoma Panhandle, 3 miles south of Liberal, were closed by the Oklahoma Highway Patrol   just before 7 a.m. Monday.
