GRANBY, CO - NOVEMBER 12: Military families ride through the Rocky Mountains at a Project Sanctuary retreat on November 12, 2011 near Granby, Colorado. The six-day retreat is designed to give active duty and veteran family members time to reconnect with each other, often after years of separation due to military deployments. The retreat also provides sessions on financial stability and marriage counseling. Many of the families have struggled with post traumatic stress due to the veterans' combat experiences in Afghanistan and Iraq. The non-profit, funded by private donations and foundations, has held some 20 retreats with 143 families since 2008. Eight hundred families on the waiting list for future retreats.
