One of the most competitive Senate primary races in the country moved closer to a final outcome Tuesday as Republican Sen. Thad Cochran and his GOP challenger, state Sen. Chris McDaniel, traveled to friendly territory to cast ballots and court voters. McDaniel, backed by the Tea Party, cast his ballot in the morning in his home town of Ellisville. He planned to spend the rest of the day campaigning in the southeastern part of the state. Noel Fritsch, a spokesman for the campaign said,"It's quite clear that Chris has the momentum going into Election Day." less
