In this Monday, Sept. 27, 2010 picture, Chef John Besh prepares food in the kitchen of his restaurant 'August' in New Orleans. Besh's two restaurants were spared when Hurricane Katrina barreled through New Orleans five years ago, but the storm almost wiped him out anyway, sending his customers looking for dry ground. At the suggestion of an old Marine Corps buddy, Besh decided to cook the food and serve it to stranded residents and first responders brought to the city by the hurricane. less
