Nasdaq said it was halting trading in all Nasdaq-listed shares until further notice due to a problem distributing stock price quotes. Business surveys suggested the world economy was on the mend, with U.S. and Chinese manufacturing activity at multi-month highs and better-than-expected growth in the euro zone. Steven Sinofsky has found yet another gig following his departure last year from Microsoft. Sinofsky revealed in a blog post that he'll join venture-capital firm Andreessen Horowitz as a board member. The former Windows president explained that he'll represent Andreessen Horowitz on the boards of portfolio companies as opportunities arise but won't be a full-time board partner. less
