GLOSSOP, UNITED KINGDOM - FEBRUARY 28: Pilot Chris Ruddy prepares to lift wooden fencing materials on to a remote moor leading to the summit of Kinder Scout in the Peak District National Park on February 28, 2011 in Glossop, United Kingdom. The National Trust is starting a major GBP 2.5 million restoration of Kinder Scout in the Peak District over the next five years. Helicopters are being used to airlift materials to the remote moors and the plateau of Kinder Scout. The restoration work will see vast areas of the bare and degraded blanket peat landscape restored by gully-blocking, brash spreading and the planting of cotton grass, heather seed, and dwarf shrubs such as bilberry.A sheep proof fence is also being constructed too enable the re-planting to become established whilst keeping open access to Kinder Scout for walkers.
