This NOAA satellite image taken Sunday, December 19, 2010 at 12:45 PM EST shows overcast skies and areas of fog over the Midwest. Areas of fog over south-central Nebraska and north-central Kansas restricts visibility down to a half mile and a quarter mile in some locations. Minimal to light icing is possible in these regions due to freezing fog. To the north, areas from the Northern High Plains through the Upper Mississippi Valley remain under a Winter Storm Watch due to the potent low that is expected to move through Intermountain West today. Elsewhere, high pressure builds over the Ohio Valley, allowing for fewer lake-effect showers downwind of the Great Lakes this afternoon. Further east, low pressure in the western Atlantic, triggers increased cloud cover over southern New England as it spreads moisture into the region. (AP PHOTO/WEATHER UNDERGROUND) less
