This NOAA satellite image taken Thursday, January 27, 2011 at 12:45 PM EST shows a spiral cloud and associated cold front off the East Coast. The placement of this system shows the big winter storm that brought heavy snow to New England and the Northeast has moved offshore. Only a few scattered light snow showers persist across the Northeast. Clouds cover most of the Northern US as another low pressure system dips into the Midwest from central Canada. Light snow develops along a front produced by this low. less
