This NOAA satellite image taken Thursday, July 07, 2011 at 10:45 AM EDT shows active weather across the Caribbean Islands and Central America. A tropical wave positioned over the Yucatan Peninsula is bringing showers across the southern tip of Mexico. Another tropical wave is located just to the north of Cuba triggering thunderstorms in Florida, the Bahamas, and Florida. This system has a low, 20%, chance of tropical storm development. To the east, a tropical wave over the Lesser Antilles is producing heavy rainfall for the region, the Dominican Republic, and Puerto Rico.
