This NOAA satellite image taken Thursday, July 28, 2011 at 10:45 AM EDT shows plenty of active weather over Central America, while the Greater Antilles is seeing sunny and dry conditions. Tropical Storm Don is spinning just to the north of the Yucatan Peninsula contributing to heavy showers and thunderstorms across the southern tip of Mexico. At the same time, ample moisture is being pushed onshore triggering widespread showers and thunderstorms across most of Central America. Meanwhile, high pressure over the North Atlantic Ocean is producing warm and sunny weather for the Greater Antilles. However, strong storms are popping up over the Lesser Antilles.
