This NOAA satellite image taken Thursday, June 16, 2011 at 01:45 PM EDT shows clouds pop up across the Central and Eastern US. A low pressure system over the Great Lakes pushes a front over the East Coast, kicking up scattered thunderstorms. Meanwhile, another low pressure system strengthens as it moves off the Rockies and into the Plains. This allows for a few storms to develop across the Central Plains and Mid-Mississippi River Valley. Some of these storms have turned severe with strong winds and large hail. (AP PHOTO/WEATHER UNDERGROUND) less
