This NOAA satellite image taken Wednesday, February 22, 2012 at 01:00 PM EST shows more unsettled weather conditions in the Northwest. Another front in a series of disturbances moves through the northwestern U.S. This results in continued wet weather from the Pacific Northwest eastward through the Rockies and then into the Northern High Plains. Light to moderate rain showers with high elevation snow persists over portions of the Pacific Northwest through the northern Rockies, while rain showers began to form in the Northern High Plains and the northern Central Plains. Meanwhile, the strong jet streaming across the Northwest combined with the strong pressure gradient over the region leads to strong winds and high wind gusts through the afternoon. A variety of High Wind Warnings and High Wind Advisories remain in effects for much of the region through the day. (AP PHOTO/WEATHER UNDERGROUND) less
