The bubbling pot of confusion and concern over possible NSA spying on Americans -- and possible double-talk by US officials -- just got a little more stirred up. Despite earlier statements that have characterized domestic data-gathering by the National Security Agency as unintentional, the agency said that there have, in fact, been instances of NSA analysts engaging in "willful violations" of legal restrictions. For several years, Microsoft's Windows Mobile software system was a dominant product, but the company took longer to adapt as the mobile industry evolved. Microsoft is starting a formal search process for its next CEO, following the news that Steve Ballmer will be retiring from that role within the next 12 months. So who is likely to be on the short list? No doubt there will be both internal and external candidates.
