Train service is back to normal on Metro-North after an explosion in East Harlem forced tracks to be shut down for hours Wednesday. A natural gas explosion rocked two buildings near the tracks, leading to a collapse and sending debris onto the tracks just south of the Harlem125th Street station. Service was shut down between the area and Grand Central from around 10 a.m. until 5 p.m. That suspension resulted in overcrowding for riders returning to New Haven Wednesday evening. less
