BOSTON, MA - DECEMBER 9: Occupy Boston Protestors reacted to the announcement that their downtown encampment would not be evicted on December 9, 2011, in Boston, Massachusetts. Boston Mayor Thomas M. Menino set a midnight deadline for Occupy Boston protestors to leave their downtown encampment in Dudley Square, or face eviction. In response, many of the protestors chose to take down their tents, and by the midnight deadline much of the camp was gone . At approximately 1:15AM on December 9, 2011, the Boston police announced that they would not evict the protestors from Dudley Square.
