Ok Sun Lee, back to camera right, 87, and Il Chul Kang, 86, talk to the media during the dedication of a monument to comfort women, the Asian women who were forced into prostitution during World War II, Monday, Aug. 4, 2014, in Union City, N.J. Lee and Kang, two women from Korea who survived, attended the event Monday afternoon. Historians say 20,000 to 200,000 women from across Asia, many of them Koreans, were forced to provide sex to Japan's front-line soldiers during the war. In 1993, Japan issued an apology.
