A $400 million winning ticket in the latest Powerball drawing was sold at a service station just off I-20 west of Columbia, officials with the South Carolina Education Lottery said. Winners in South Carolina do not have to come forward publicly but Bethea noted that, in order to claim the winnings, the ticketholder must contact state lottery officials within 180 days.
