The story of one of Scotland's great naval heroes is being told in a new exhibition at the National Museum of Scotland. Admiral Cochrane, the Real Master and Commander opens on Friday 7 October and tells the story of the real-life figure whose exploits made him a national hero at home and abroad and inspired the stories of famous fictional heroes like C.S.
