In this Monday, Sept. 15, 2014 photo, a man walks past a marble 'Spirit Way' figure at an exhibition entitled 'Ming 50 years that changed China' in British Museum in central London. This figure formed part of a 'Spirit Way' leading to the tomb of a member of the Ming imperial family. Between AD 1400 and 1450, China was a global superpower run by one family – the Ming dynasty – who established Beijing as the capital and built the Forbidden City. The exhibition, running from Sept. 18, 2014 to Jan 5, 2015, will feature a range of these spectacular objects – including exquisite porcelain, gold, jewellery, furniture, paintings, sculptures and textiles – from museums across China and the rest of the world.
