This photo provided by the Chicago Zoological Society shows, some of the Brookfield Zoo's 10 African wild dog puppies, who were born on Nov. 25, 2010, now appearing regularly in their outdoor habitat Tuesday, March, 15, 2011 in Brookfield, Ill. Brookfield Zoo is one of 11 accredited North American zoos to have a breeding group and one of only three zoos to produce litters this past year. Once common in virtually every environment in southern Africa, excluding rain forests and the driest deserts, African wild dogs now inhabit only the savannahs and grasslands, making them one of the continent’s most endangered predators. less
