This photo provided Dec. 17, 2010, by The International Group For Historic Aircraft Recovery (TIGHAR) shows TIGHAR Team Physician Dr. Jon Overholt screening excavated material for bones at the dig site on the uninhabited island of Nikumaroro, in the South Pacific, where researchers say they found bone fragments that could help prove that famed aviator Amelia Earhart died as a castaway after failing in her quest to circumnavigate the globe. Researchers said Friday, Dec. 17, 2010, that the University of Oklahoma hopes to extract DNA from the bones. less
