This photo released by NASA/JPL-Caltech/Cornell shows the Comet Tempel 1 as seen by NASA's Stardust craft. NASA's Chris Jones says all the flyby images are stored on the craft. It'll take another six hours for everything to be downloaded. It's the first time a comet has been visited by two different spacecraft. In 2005, another NASA craft named Deep Impact unleashed a copper bullet that carved a crater on Tempel 1. less
