In this photo taken in 2004 in Santiago de Compostela, Spain, one of the pages of the origianl 12th century religious Calixtinus Codex manuscript in seen in the cathedral. Spanish police are searching for the priceless collection of 12th century religious manuscripts believed to have been stolen from a cathedral in the city of Santiago de Compostela. Galicia regional police inspector Benigno Roca said Friday July 8, 2011 a special unit had been set up to try to recover the Calixtinus Codex, which went missing from a strongbox in the cathedral last week. He said European police forces had also been alerted.The codex is considered the first guide for people making the ancient Christian pilgrimage known as the Camino de Santiago, the Spanish name for the Way of St. James.
