In this photo taken on May 25, 2011, a southern Sudanese gas station attendant argues with a customer at a fuel station in Wau, southern Sudan. Dozens of people had lined up at the station hoping to buy stockpiles as a fuel crisis deepened. Oil transit routes between north and south have been severely disrupted due to recent fighting. Areas like Wau, situated closer to the border between north and south, are almost entirely dependent on oil shipments from Khartoum. Fighting in Abyei and other border areas have led to extreme fuel shortages in areas throughout the south. Buying fuel in Wau requires a letter from the state government that entitles a person to purchase 20 liters. (AP Photo/Pete Muller) less
