This photo taken Oct. 31, 2013 shows a of how slaves were dressed for sale, at the Freedom House Museum in Alexandria, Va. A small museum across the Potomac River from the nation's capital is connected to the story depicted in the new movie “12 Years a Slave.” The Freedom House Museum is at the site where a major slave trader once operated _ the same slave trader who sold Solomon Northrup into slavery after the free man's abduction. The movie is drawing renewed interest from historians and visitors in this Virginia city’s role in the slave trade. (AP Photo/Alex Brandon) less
