In this photo taken on Saturday, July 26, 2014, wooden crosses and poppy wreaths adorn the grave of World War I soldier Private George Ellison, right, at the St. Symphorien Cemetery near Mons, Belgium. Ellison fought in the opening battles of WWI in Southern Belgium, through the horrific slaughter of the Somme and Passchendaele, only to come back where he started from and be shot and killed on the last day of the war on Nov. 11, 1918. Ellison was the last Commonwealth soldier to be killed before the Armistice was announced. (AP Photo/Virginia Mayo) less
