In this photo taken Tuesday, July 12, 2011, beekeeper Michael Thompson walks near the edge of City Hall in Chicago above La Salle Street after checking on over 100,000 bees at a beehive. Beekeeping is thriving in cities across the nation, driven by young hobbyists and green entrepreneurs. Honey from city hives makes its way onto swanky restaurant kitchens and behind the bar where it's mixed into cocktails or stars as an ingredient in mead.
