In this picture taken through a window, humor therapist Dr. Hunter "Patch" Adams speaks with a patient during a visit to the children's hospital, Dr. Ovidio Aliaga Uria, in La Paz, Bolivia, Monday July 18, 2011. Adams, a medical doctor by training and a social activist, will present lectures about his laughter therapy during his four-day visit to Bolivia. Adams, who founded the Gesundheit Institute, a free, full-service hospital in West Virginia that employs his philosophy of laughter as a healing tool, was the inspiration for the 1998 movie "Patch Adams," starring Robin Williams.
