Police clashed with anti-World Cup protesters near Rio de Janeiro’s Maracanã stadium on June 15, as Argentina played against Bosnia in the city’s first match of the tournament. Riot police reportedly blockaded roads, firing tear gas and rubber bullets at protesters to prevent them from approaching the famed stadium. This footage shows police in full riot gear barring protesters from crossing a road. A helicopter can be heard overhead, and a spotlight illuminates demonstrators running from what appears to be a plume of tear gas. Credit: YouTube/Fim de Jogo less
