Two landmark Supreme Court rulings that bolster gay marriage rights don't remove all barriers to same-sex unions by a long shot. Where gay couples live still will have a lot to do with how they're treated. The Supreme Court has struck down a key provision of the Defense of Marriage Act, ruling that same-sex spouses legally married in a state may receive federal benefits. Republican Senator Marco Rubio, shifting his tone on the U.S. immigration bill he helped to write, said he is now fully satisfied that the measure will do what it takes to secure the southern border with Mexico. less
