President of the court Japan's Judge Hisashi Owada, left, accompanied by Vice-President of the Court Slovakia's Judge Peter Tomka, center, and Judge Abdul Koroma, from Sierra Leone, right, at the International Court of Justice in The Hague, Netherlands, Wednesday May 4, 2011. The court has refused to let Costa Rica intervene in a legal dispute between Nicaragua and Colombia over the countries' maritime border in the Caribbean. Costa Rica applied to join the case last year, saying the area of Caribbean under dispute between Nicaragua and Colombia also covered part of its maritime territory. less
