Officials say Egypt's interim president, Adly Mansour, has held talks with the army chief and interior minister following overnight clashes across the country that killed at least 30 people. Egyptian authorities shut down four Islamist TV stations, banned the Muslim Brotherhood's newspaper and raided the office of Al-Jazeera's Egypt affiliate in crackdown on media considered sympathetic to ousted President Mohammed Morsi, bringing an outcry from rights groups. The chants, the impatient anger and even the symbols were the same ? right down to laser-generated messages of "Game Over" that were directed at Hosni Mubarak's regime in 2011 and this week turned against the elected president carried to power by the Arab Spring. less
