Rep. John Dingell, R-Mich., the longest serving member of Congress in history, is celebrated at a National Press Club luncheon in Washington, Friday, June 27, 2014. Now 87, Dingell started his career as a congressional page, shuttling mail from one legislator to another and watching Franklin D. Roosevelt give speeches from the House floor. A member of the House of Representatives since 1955, Dingell has said he will not seek another term at the end of the 113th Congress. (AP Photo/J. Scott Applewhite) less
