** RETRANSMISSION TO CORRECT FIRST NAME ** Andres Townes, of Revere, Mass., is seen during his arraignment in Salem District Court, in Salem, Mass., Friday, May 20, 2011. Townes and a female defendant, Gloria Escobar, have been charged in what authorities call the biggest fare-evasion scheme in the history of Boston's transit agency. Prosecutors say Townes worked at a company that produces passes for the MBTA, and created about $4 million worth of counterfeit MBTA passes that were sold online at discounted rates. less
