BERLIN, GERMANY - MARCH 14: A visitor walks past a detention cell at the former prison of the East German Ministry of State Security, also known as the Stasi, at Berlin-Hohenschoenhausen on March 14, 2011 in Berlin, Germany. Former journalist and East German human rights activist Roland Jahn is scheduled to be appointed new Federal Commisisoner of the BStU, the federal archive of the Stasi, later today. Jahn will succeed Marianne Birthler in overseeing the archive, which contains hundreds of thousands of records on former East German citizens collected by the Stasi.
