Skyline of Singapore's financial district, right, and newly opened Marina Bay Sands hotel and casino, left, is seen on a rainy day evening, Monday, Jan. 3, 2011. The city-state's gross domestic product rose 12.5 percent in the October-to-December period from a year ago, compared with a surge of 10.5 percent in the third quarter, the Trade and Industry Ministry said Monday. The economy grew an annualized, seasonally adjusted 6.9 percent in the fourth quarter after contracting 18.9 percent in the third, the ministry said. less
