Puerto Rico legislators on Friday rushed to try to approve a budget amid debate on how best to revive the U.S. territory's economy, which the New York Federal Reserve president , William Dudley warns has not yet bottomed out. The proposed $9.8 billion operating budget proposes a flurry of new taxes while seeking to boost the island's education system and rescue a crumbling public pension system. The White House is recruiting local officials to promote and carry out President Obama's health care law in states like Texas and Florida where governors are hostile to it. Facebook is pulling ads from pages that contain violence or sexual content. The social network said that it will expand its definition of pages and groups that are too controversial to carry advertisements. less
