'SOL Grotto' Exhibition

Berkeley artists Ronald Rael and Virginia San Fratello have created the art installation 'SOL Grotto', on display at UC Berkeley Botanical Garden. The installation was created by using an estimated 1,400 specialized glass tubes, originally made to be used in tubular solar panels for a now bankrupt solar power firm Solyndra. The installation is part of a larger exhibit at the UC Berkeley Botanical Garden called 'Natural Discourse' that runs through January 2013.
