Sound Transit workers use a crane to remove a section of boardwalk dating from the late 1800's from a 40-foot shaft being dug as part of the expansion of a light rail line, Thursday, April 14, 2011, in downtown Seattle. Much of the area was buried with fill materials around 1905 when the Denny regrade raised the street level by 40 feet. less
