Stone jumping in Indonesia
Stone Jumping is a traditional ritual on the remote Nias Island in North Sumatra, with locals leaping over large stone towers, which in the past resulted in serious injury and death. Stone jumping in Indonesia originated as a tradition born of the habit of inter tribal fighting on the island of Nias.
